What it does
Ask ChatGPT or Claude for baby names and Namore shows a deck of real name cards right in the chat: meaning, origin, pronunciation, how the name ages, its popularity trend and where it ranks in national top lists. Swipe right on names you love and left to pass. At the end you get your shortlist, can ask for more names like the ones you loved, or take them to the Namore app to swipe them together with your partner.
The names come from Namore's own catalog of more than 15,000 names, with cards in English, German, Spanish and French. The assistant turns your request into filters (girl or boy, origins, countries where the name is used, style, trend, first letters, length) or a list of specific names to compare.
Add Namore
ChatGPT
Open the Plugins Directory in ChatGPT, search for Namore and connect it. No account or sign-in is needed. Then ask for names in any chat, or pick Namore from the tools menu.
Claude
Open Settings, then Connectors, find Namore in the directory and connect it. No account or sign-in is needed. In a chat, make sure Namore is switched on in the tools menu, then ask for names.

Namore is a remote MCP server without authentication at https://www.namore.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP).

Limits
- Only names in Namore's catalog get a card. If the assistant suggests a name we don't have, it tells you in text instead.
- Swiping in the chat is just for you. Matching with a partner happens in the Namore app, where each of you swipes on your own phone.
- Card text is available in English, German, Spanish and French.
Privacy
No account, no sign-in, and we never see your conversation. We receive only the search the assistant sends and one anonymous event when you finish a deck. Details are in section 7 of our privacy policy.
