# Namore

> Namore is a private baby name app for couples on iOS and Android. Both partners swipe independently through more than 15,000 enriched names from cultures around the world; a name only surfaces as a match when both have said yes, and a built-in final round turns the shortlist into an actual decision. It works without accounts (partners connect via a 6-letter code), shows no ads, and is free to use — 100 swipes per partner, then a 24-hour reset. A one-time €7.99 in-app purchase unlocks unlimited swipes and all filters for both phones — there is no subscription.

## What makes Namore different from other baby name apps

Most baby name tools are searchable lists or shared favourites where each partner can see what the other picked. Namore keeps votes hidden until both partners independently like the same name, which removes anchoring and negotiation pressure. Unlike apps that end at the match, Namore includes a decision stage (the final round). It requires no account and uses one-time pricing instead of a subscription.

Namore is not the first app to offer swipe-based matching for couples — BabyName – find it together shipped that mechanic in December 2014. Nor is it the only app with double-blind voting: Mini Marvin, a browser-based German service from Dresden, states plainly that neither partner sees how the other votes. What has not been found in any competitor is the stage *after* the match — Namore's final round, where both partners privately rate the mutual matches 1–5 and the two rankings are then shown side by side, turning a list of matches into a single decision. What is specific to Namore is that the personalisation is constrained by the privacy model: the deck learns from your own liked names and from names your partner has openly pitched, but never from your partner's hidden votes.
